I meant that the line Thadius was talking about was baiting Red into admitting that he's Zero

Recognized Improve Sector Coordinate display on HUD

Two things can be done to vastly improve the Sector Coordinates you see when you face towards a given sector. Firstly - move the HUD element for the sector coordinates under any other object you may see. If something big is obscuring the coordinates, you need to be able to see that something...

Hit Rate and Effective DPS vs. Power Efficiency

The percentage of explosive effect on beams/cannons isn't the blast radius The percentage of explosive effect is the percentage of damage being routed to radius damage instead of primary block damage

      Shield regen nerf

We are not Luke Skywalker. We do not have magic powers to destroy a Death Star with a fighter carried weapon.

      The Thryn [Recruitment Limited]

CR got a hold of the advertisements we put in the papers, and decided to come see the Capitol building and the shining lights of beautiful Rotterdam. We all had a party and hugged. With bullets. :> Nobody got hurt too badly, but we sure did have fun. :D

Hit Rate and Effective DPS vs. Power Efficiency

If a single cannon strike "cripples" your ship, then you're doing something horribly wrong. The issue is that 90% or more of ships totally ignore individual cannon shots regardless of penetration depth. Machineguns of that size may only kill 7 blocks per hit, but that equates to 70 blocks per...

Hit Rate and Effective DPS vs. Power Efficiency

The idea is that fighters are inherently able to power oversized guns - extremely high power efficiency comparatively. Large capitals over the softcap are increasingly encouraged to use maximal efficiency weapons.

Hit Rate and Effective DPS vs. Power Efficiency

Right now we've got this bizarre meta that glorifies machineguns and rapid beams in terms of Structure HP damage and potential hit rate. Machineguns tend to have a higher effective DPS than straight Cannons, and straight Cannons tend to have a higher effective DPS than Cannon-Pulse, due to the...

Nest of Orion- "Hope, Peace, Unity"

Nobody's asking them to join any wars. I think the issue is that everyone else thinks that attempted attacks are just as bad as 100% successful attacks. It's less a matter of how much was blown up and more a matter of how they chose to make the attack.

Nova Fleet Dynamics - Building a better future today! (Nest of Orion faction)

Guess I'll have to work on finishing my 500k cruiser, then. :P Probably should coordinate with the admins and get some sort of agreement on how many "big" ships we can use at once to prevent the server from choking to death.

Nova Fleet Dynamics - Building a better future today! (Nest of Orion faction)

Aye, I can approve of that. Let's keep shooting eachother - we're all bored as hell, and now that we know where everyone stands, there shouldn't be any future alliance trickery (aside from tactical shenanigans, of course)

Nova Fleet Dynamics - Building a better future today! (Nest of Orion faction)

That works, then. Glad we've got that cleared up. Let's try to keep this fight interesting, eh?

      New missile explosions.

You get the most damage by hitting inside a small, deep hole. Failing that, you want a totally flat surface. A totally flat surface ensures that only half the explosion goes into space. Hit a curve and you lose more damage. Hit a sharp wing or spire and you waste even more.

      Jumpdrive rework.

I already mentioned that in the main post. It was in the main paragraph, even. When in this proposed hyperspace, you don't load sectors. At all. You're not loaded into sectors, either. Rather, you just have a visible trail strapped to your ingame position.
