If you make the operation of the original dependent on the presence of the sub-unit you just need the one new block, the sub-unit. if sub-turret connected to turret, limit rotation. Otherwise, don\'t.
Starmade needs sub turret points, to use if you don't want your huge turrets pointing at absurd angles. If you use one of these sub turret points the cannon on the sub point only moves up and down while the original turret just moves left and right.
Then I am wondering why it reorients the view to the ship at all, when it doesn\'t reorient the character. To me this doesn\'t make sense. From an interaction design perspective it\'s a disaster. Let me put it this way, scrolling back the view and seeing that the player model orientation in 3rd...
See image:
One arrow to rotate for each axis. Would make getting blocks aligned go so much fast than the current system where you have to cycle all optiions.
How do you figure that? An autopilot flies the ship by itself. this just helps you control it over a planet. Only thing it controls is roll and to a lesser degree pitch. Yaw remains unaffected.
The lander module would do two things.
1. Gyro function that causes the ship to always rotate towards being level with the planet.
2. Be the parent system for landing thrusters/hover modules, whose sole purpose is to keep you hovering and not drop like that unfortunate whale in Hitch hikers...
Maybe you could have a Whales, and a greenpeace ship, but let\'s call them Starpeace. You can poach the whale to mine the carcas for some sweet level 4 minerals. But if a Starpeace patrol carrier sees you atttack or mine, you are in deep shit!
I do not want this before you can repair a ship via blueprint at a shop!
As long as they implement the features in the right order I am okay with it.
First: Repair ship using blueprint.
Second, absolutely not before first: Partial shield breakthrough,
Also, they need to have whale song that gets louder as you approach them.
You would have to kill the whales to mine them I would think.
Like that episode of Farscape that takes place on a gigantic dead space creature called a budong that has been converted into a mining operation.
(Also the...
Also, tends to happen when the first thing I do is go into a turret in build mode.
If I don\'t close the game it tends to herald a crash.
And I am running the game in windowed mode.
