I like the colour scheme; it's simple yet is quite pleasing on the eyes. All these ships will look a whole lot better when the lighting bugs on the new hull blocks are fixed though :P

Just put the folder contained in the .zip file into the blueprints folder in your StarMade directory.

It lets you get shapes that would have taken hours to get right in-game.

It depends entirely on the person. I myself model the ships I build in a CAD program, then put them through binvox and then SMEdit to get the basic hull shape. Then it's just a matter of polishing up the exterior, adding detail and filling it up with all the systems and weapons.

It nerfed mine as well because I had all my thrusters in a block. I redid them all though with just the xyz axis' and I've almost doubled my thrust using only a third of the thrusters.

I love the colour scheme used on that last one. All of them are amazing though, well done!
