an easy fix would be to remove the turrets, and buy them separate. a fix that schema should add, is to add to the credit cap. adding to the caps, would make it so us large scale players, will be able to have our fun.
beyond knowing where they are, id like to be able to tell them to return, or stay close to a ship. then you dont have to rebuild them each time you use em...
with a console system like the one i stated, and you seem to like: there would be a great difference between those playing with a crew, and those playing alone in their ships. it wouldn\'t matter so much the size of your ship anymore, but the size and skills of your crew. making this more a team...
get each group of npc creatures there own faction. each faction can have their own relations with each group of npc\'s that way. in mc, the villagers didn\'t do anything if you went through and killed a bunch of them. the npc\'s should care if you harm one of them, or their station though. and...
i have seen people use that system to take over ships in the past. the docked turrets dont have a fac block, and are not truely linked to the main ship, and end up being easy for others to climb in and switch over to the main ship to fly off in
i posted a thread about fixing the cre systems a while back, anfd got some good ideas going: http://star-made.org/content/cockpit-fixing-mod
i think it would add to the rgp server\'s feel. not to mention being more true to thesci-fi nature of the game.
i have reposted my aditions to this topic in another thread, and would like any who have this ploblem to join me there in making it an active topic, so as schema sees that it is an issue
join me at: http://star-made.org/content/advanced-build-mode-blinding
when i enter advanced build mode, and try to place a directional block, all the textures die. i9 end up only seeing the outline of where i will put the block, and the purple of the blocks connected to the selected block. before the second to last update, it would go back to normal after i went...
i tend to weaponize my harvesters, making a honeycomb of salvage cannons and amc\'s that start out being 21^2 and 30+ deep. this type of system is made simply out of me being lazy. i am going to take my lazyness even farther with my Yes ship. 500^2 face made for eating planets whole, and i am...
i think the block should make it so when you add it to your ship, it lets you add blocks for stations. my mega build is going to host a city. it would be nice if i was not so limited on the block types i can use. i dont think it should let you make the ship faction home though. too much power...
though the scaling system works great at the larger ends of the spectrum, the ship cores can not be controlled like before. many used ship cores as a quick simple ship to show off their builds. personally, i use my ship cores to catch up to my run away ships, or to travel 2000km when i am...
i am sure that those of us who build planet dwarfing ships, will still have lag issues. though i hope lesser craft will put less stair on the servers, so we can build yet bigger :P
i belive that due to the type of building media we have to work with, hinges and joins would be the same thing. though joints are more known to be part of an ambliatory \"being\", where as hinges would aplly to that and all other forms of flexable items.
if the thread was just about pistons, then it would be a duplicate. this is about moving parts in general. hinges, axles, pistons, etc. : is about more then just making things that move liniarly. though i would like some of you coments about pistons to mingle with those about the rest.
With the addition of moving parts to your ship, you can add to the types of ships that can be copied in full detail.
An X-wing fighter that opens it's wings,
landing gear that drops down,
turrets that extend out from hiding to take on your foes,
switching through what weapons are facing...
