      I'm really liking the implications here for other block type stacking. Shields and chargers perhaps, or reactors and storage tanks? I would think there are too many computers to stack them like this. They could probably stack them with their weapon type. That would eliminate computer clutter...

      This is a decent idea. I've seen other games work this way. However I think it needs a maximum number of updates, or a maximum time threshold to trigger updates. Otherwise someone on a server clips the edge of a sector that hasn't been visited in a few months and then lag city.

      Yes you could resort to that exploit. However, many of the interiors rely on switches, area detection, and directional gravity. None of witch you can experience from build mode.

      Be aware that you won't be able to explore the inside of stations on the dev server. They are all faction locked. Probably to prevent grieffing of them. I'd sugest you download the import pack found here.

      While I like the idea of fleet AI, it is not going to solve your balance problem by its self. Instead of one player verses ten, You'll have one player and nine drones V ten players and ninety drones.

      That was the case at one time. I'm not sure at what point it was fixed. I just did a test and a ship that's nothing but shield blocks and chargers will draw power and charge it's shields.

      Is your ship docked? Ships that are docked seem to count the reserves of the mother ship / station as part of their maximum capacity for the display bar.

      It would probably need a duration limit unless deliberately linked to a repeating clock. Otherwise you could accidentally turn them on and watch as your ship flies of into the black of space never to return.

      The problem with that is that you can't dock a station, and you can't put factories on ships. Though I'm of the mind that it should be allowed.       All your enhancers need to be in one group. The docking block it's self will not link them together. Try moving your cross by one each direction so that the dock is not separating them.
