      I too feel there is little point to building for the foreseeable future. If updates make it so that I am not allowed to do anything that interests me with 50-95% of the ship I am building I can't imagine ever becoming inspired to build again.

      You could try to use pick-up rails to bring the nacelles in from a remote docking point. Or replace the armor wedges with doors.

      iirc the textures for pickup rails were accidentally reversed last update. Try reversing the pickup rails.

      iirc it's not that the shop drains any of your power, aux will still fill itself up, but that while docked to a shop it sets your power capacity to zero. It's shield rechargers especially that drop the power into the negatives. Some power draws do still work while docked to a shop though.

      I find that partially powered turrets work ok but only for weapons where the reload is longer then the one second power outage delay. I have a silly b-b-o fighter turret that pulls 600k power from 12 entities each with 19 p-gens.

      Eventually cost means nothing and nothing is hard to make so recon blocks would essentially replace standard armor and hull due to their stats while taking up a lot more block ID's and still be worse for making cloakers then what is normally used, motherboards; Type Hylat Motherboard Hit Points...

      I think there is a short delay. I noticed some cannon-beam shaped shots would de-synch on turrets with split power after a while when the AI was firing continuously. That was before innate punch I think though.

      IMO 'buff' systems are terrible as they inevitably become essential for PVP. The game is promoting ship specialization iirc. If you want to buff a weak ship you can already; Increase damage - add more weapon blocks Decrease cooldown - slave cannon More mining - add more salvage systems

      You can't split power generation across entities for weapons with reload </=1sec. Turret works fine with >400ke/sec on either the barrel or base. Power is drawn from the barrel until there is none left before starting to draw from the base. Depleting the barrel's power causes it to go into...
