Anyone else had a try at this? I can finally build an asteroid with a docking port and mechanical systems. Not to mention, sneaky heavily armed asteroids. You can even make the ships you dock look like the asteroid. :-)
Hi Everyone,
Not sure if anybody else has tried this, but using a core anchor for shipyards I successfully docked an entity to an asteroid using a simple little trick. :)
I made a video demonstrating it.
I'm keen to know how you configured the jump drives for automation. I'd like to apply this to my own ships.
Oh yeah, you could use a jump inhibitor to prevent it jumping.
Oh man! It's been a while since my last update. I've been putting what little time I get into my Pirate fleet for the ZimmTech Pirate Fleet Competition. http://starmadedock.net/threads/zimmtech-pirate-fleet-competition.20952/
Here's the video link. Sorry for the length of it. I returned to the...
Hi Schine,
Something I would love to have is the ability to have and IP Camera stream from my server to then have my DVR capture and process. This would allow me to have security cameras with motion sensing in-game and the ability for me to remotely monitor my server using my mobile phone or...
Belated Happy Birthday!
Hey, do you know many of the other Kiwi's on here or playing Starmade?
I tried Star-made.co.nz and see it's no longer running, unless it was down at the time.
How was Twitchcon? Wish I could have gone. Looked like a cool event.
I think there are a lot of valid arguments here.
My main wish is to have a smaller footprint for logic in my ships.
I like the existing way we configure logic in 3D space, which is why I would like to continue using it in a mini game inside a computer block.
A 2D view would be handy, but when...
Oh man! I've just been watching a battle with my 5 ships and 5 Isanths. The Isanths were Pirates and my ships Trading Guild.
One Isanth disappeared and the remaining 4 have been well smashed. Took about an hour and a half for defeat and my guys won. Woot woot! :-)
My Erox and Trixnos have...
This is similar to a suggestion I posted a while back to reduce block bloat with logic.
http://starmadedock.net/threads/universal-computer-block.20364/
The main idea is a mini-game like that of the shipyard simulation, where you would build the logic inside the computer block the same way you...
Lol! I know what you mean. :-)
My early experiments with push/pull effect for cruise control resulted in many frustrating chases. Well, until I discovered the benefits of built in docking at the rear. ;-)
Oh yeah, the Trixnos has this annoying habit of chucking you out into space when you exit the core. I suggest wearing your helmet. :)
Oops, I just reviewed my tech chart and discovered a mistake. Trixnos does not have cruise control.
Sorry for the last minute add-ons.
