      All the costs are configurable you know, most RP servers I've played on have dramatically changed the shop prices, pirate drop rates, etc. if it's a real problem for you take an hour or two and go through the config for yourself.

      the price of large ships is not an issue as of now, this game is in alpha and the engine needs to be run to its limit, so we get big ships to make servers go boom and schema can figure out how to make it not go boom.

      why shouldn't capitals be the end all of combat in one v one scenarios? The biggest ship in a large battle also presents the largest target and will probably receive the brute firepower of most of the opponents weapons. I think large ships should be able to destroy absolutely anything...

      I just significantly increased sector size but kept speed limit to like 200. And I agree that the game is not hard, but that's not a problem at this stage of development

      It's alpha, most of the balancing your suggesting is in the works, but won't be put in until beta probably. we want big ships right now. We want the server-busters and lag machines because they test the game's limits and allow to schema to address core issues. Don't worry too much about it yet...

      I don't think it's dead. I think it's hibernating, till more content is in and bugs mostly fixed, when it becomes stable enough to support an actual playerbase. Beta phase is what I mean.

      Ixalite that's not what we want though, fighters can't really utilize this because they're too small to make docked cores look good

      2km long, ~1 km wide, 500m tall. Doable I say, but I'm going for looks mainly but still gonna stuff it with components so it will take a long time. I'm okay with that

      Qweesdy maybe sure, but it's fun as hell to build something that massive and field it with support. Even if it is technically inefficient, it's still got more shields and power than anything else in the server, and turn rate doesn't matter when you can have turrets the size of moons to fire...

      Overdrive modules are one of the new effect systems in place, using them without attaching them to weapons increases thrust efficiency(i think) and allows you to go faster than the set speed limit imo= in my opinion

      the best command for spawning mobs for testing imo is the /spawn_mobs shipnameCapitalizedexactly -1* 1** *= faction id, -1 is pirates **= number of ships the AI is automatically turned on for these ships spawned

      damn it's a good idea but more than a few ships of mine contain hundreds of thousands of connecting power blocks. Maybe this volatility should only apply to a new kind of power block? Otherwise you make a lot of old designs obsolete
