think of the depth you could add to your ship: rotating engine parts, decorative turbine housings with actuating sliding vents so that you can see the innards spinning when you tell the vents to slide open.... mega cannons with sliding or...
i suppose that would be right and good.
i also think that if they are connected to the ship via this system, they share shields and power both ways with the main ship(maybe sliding part cores and hinge cores place-able in build mode?)
Are there any plans for blocks that allow for attached-to-ship parts to move/actuate? like a rotation block controller and direction/end point configurable rotating docks that can be controlled with logic or an activation module in the hotbar?

more interested in an inverse system where max speed and accel on a large ship are more dramatically limited but warping/jump abilities is enhanced over small ships. A system where warp distance is longer for larger ships vs smaller ships, incentive-izing large ships for travel, raw firepower...
due to the way transparency works, did you realize that you can make 1.5-way glass panes? where it's totally clear seeing through it one way and frosted-glass look the other way? might be useful :)

i think there needs to be a spawn timer on the blueprints so they don't insta-spawn. it makes it feel like the olden days of credits converted into mass. not cool. it should also carry a construction fee from the shop.

Naw, those are anti-missle defense arrays. I havent added the anti-fighter arrays. Ive not added the long range turret arrays either. And the drone racks are going to be implemented last. Probably with push pulse.

so you're supposing.... that we make buying ships easier than before they made the blueprint meta-item require you to gather the blocks before you were able to use the blueprint to get your ship? as in take a step back from the original system where you just paid the shop credits to buy a ship...

i saw a whole bunch of ships from all over the forums, and i'm quite happy with it. not 90% MF. like, 10-20% MF as it is proportional to the community composition.
