rotation speed change would be one factor in allowing interior to be less painful
armor changes will allow the same. also standard hull should be balanced better with weight/armor. that would help since more interior means more outer hull. but i should feel happy using standard over...
Any dev builds up. I'm guessing we are in for a update on npcs, ai ,fleets, or weapons one of them soon. The proposed energy update isn't going to push everything else in the docket. If anything AI is up next, with some more weapon behavior fixing.
Now to compare with the competition. One has...
I agree. As I believe most people do. Fleets, ai, turrets. And a better UI to manage. (Why is turret control still under a system collective tab with a undock button right next to it)
Any word from schema yet? Awaiting a dev blog on this, and in general the timeline of changes?
. Even if it's not set in stone, the survival aspect of gameplay + building aspect feels on hold just in case a major change happens that nullifies any non hull building. My worry is timeframe of...
I'd take the mtg anology. Specifically modern. But standard metagames to
Anyways it shouldn't stop hull design for say your fleets, or a good PvP hull. UNLESS the community speculates. If every system block gets take out for a different reworked system. Making hulls might not work if the new...
that's what I gather that this system will be in some way also for shields and thrusters. I'm assuming the discussion shouldn't be power system with the old thruster, shield, and passives...but with all the systems changed. my assumption is it will be balanced to the same ratio of blocks say a...
You mentioned power being a problem for ai currently. And I'm assuming calculations. With this system what improves on the performance end of things, and what would hurt performance with this new system. A lot of alternative suggestions is sounding to complex and server lagging. And I wouldn't...
I'm wondering also with heat areas, won't this be a performance killer just to put the checks in to make sure players are not trying to force the heat areas outside the ship. And those checks when collisions happen, armor blocks get destroyed, will come into play... situations where player makes...
I like the modular idea. Personally never had much issue with power balance. It's shields/ion and thrust. I'm cramming every inch for it. Maxing out that shield cap. And balancing it with how much thrust I can get bye with
A lot of balancing. And checks to prevent its own exploits. Then get into balancing. For drones, fighters, frigates up to titans. Turrets etc. I really need to see the changes to thrust and shield to get a feel of this. Without them it's hard to feel this. We almost need to see this...
Some major restrictions with docked entities I can see with this. Self powered turrets has been a work around for power. Or active docked ships acting as stationary turrets. If this is to work for drones and fighters and be extremely efficient. Turrets would be what I'd want to optimize with...
Also would this change the meta back to Core drilling? Shields mean everything. I'm assuming then block penetration would be seriously gimped to prevent the game to be chase to the reactor core
How will the heat box handle systems used purely for aesthetics. Activation gates for walls is common(Why give us more colors in that texture Please) this could turn people off who build interiors
Lol. It's not as bad as music production. "I'm thinking of a sound, kinda like this sound this producer uses a lot.. but instead shove This beat into it." My other beam thought was independence day. Pulses running through the beam... :p Now Drink!
Anyways I don't care about it slowing down...
Again, just duel your fighters with there's. I wouldn't discount fighters in the game. But since PvP is very I'm going to challenge you. Do you accept. I'd have fun and not think it's not viable because of macro combat metagame.
