Ouch, that does look like a chore. Best of luck to you in your charitable hull importing efforts!

Importing your favorite ship hulls per request (1 a month)

I'd like to second this, and add that BFG: armada has some very nice models for WH40k ships, if that's of any help to the OP.

      StarMade Ship Size Comparison Chart

I got lazy and uploaded the Amberclad already, even though the interior is somewhat work-in-progress. The exterior is finished, though, so it should be right at home on the chart. :) Vaalxian conglomerate Amberclad-class heavy cruiser

Vaalxian conglomerate Amberclad-class heavy cruiser EXTERIOR finished

A heavy ship-of-the-line built with RP and looks in mind. Armed with a battery of four heavy cannons (cannon-beam-explosive), an ion lance (beam-beam-ion), two vertical torpedo tubes (missile-beam-explosive) and a lot of beam-cannon turrets. Defenses include advanced armour with an underlying...

      StarMade Ship Size Comparison Chart

Awesome, it looks better with every update. Will you plan on extending the canvas when you run out of room or is this a "get in while you can" -type of deal? :p

      StarMade Ship Size Comparison Chart

Aw hell yeah! Now I have some extra motivation to finish my Amberclad so the chart will have some representation on the vertical ships front. :D

      Ship Size Comparison Chart

Someone with a lot of time in their hands could make a StarMade version comprised of popular community content builds. ;)

      The ship design thread

just detail everything so overtly that people can't make out the basic shape under all the protruding bits and pieces. That's what I do.

HorribleHedgehog's stuff (UPDATE 4/8/2016: Amberclad-class cruiser exterior finished!)

Thanks! I think it's wonderful how even a small community such as ours has so many different build styles. I'm a very intuitive - even haphazard - kind of a builder, I don't plan ahead much, but it has a tendency to work out nonetheless.

HorribleHedgehog's stuff (UPDATE 4/8/2016: Amberclad-class cruiser exterior finished!)

*sniff* They do grow up so fast... The exterior on the Amberclad is 99% done. the only thing left is to cover up one small deck that I've left open to give easy access to the innards, and of course, finishing up the interior. Anyway, piccies: I'm very happy with the way this ship has turned...

Something that rhymes with "Harris Class Frigate"

My point being that while MACs were the main shield-dropper of the UNSC, they weren't particularly effective for the task, which is why using Ion effect for them just feels wrong for me. Not to mention that firing a MAC at an unshielded ship really ought to leave as big a hole as possible.

Something that rhymes with "Harris Class Frigate"

Although MACs were used to drop shields of Covenant ships, that was hardly their intended function. They were hull damage weapons first and foremost, and when Covenant invaded the UNSC just had to make do with them. As such I would forgo ion for either explosive or punch-through. Archers could...

StarMade v0.199.132 - Huge performance upgrade for chunks, also now supporting Portuguese-Brazilian

My OS should be 64-bit, so I guess that explains it. Many thanks, update time ahoy!

I believe this is the correct file, then (I had to zip it since the browser kept claiming it was too large).

StarMade v0.199.132 - Huge performance upgrade for chunks, also now supporting Portuguese-Brazilian

Tried to increase memory settings to 4096 - 1024 - 256, upon starting the game I immediately got the following error message: Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine. Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

StarMade v0.199.132 - Huge performance upgrade for chunks, also now supporting Portuguese-Brazilian

I wasn't near a planet, and the only thing within rendering distance was my 40,000 mass WIP cruiser that the game could handle fine before the update. I'll try adjusting my memory settings. About the logs... how do I know which one's the right one? I got like twenty-odd log.txt files and same...
