      Yep, sadly the data inside the block is lost with advanced copy-paste. I think that sometimes it might be kept, tho. If you use blueprints it's kept too. You could create a dockable entity with these 36 blocks and spawn instances of it.

      I'm speaking of Survival SP. In SSP the only limit is the player's greed. No matter how balanced the game will become, you still will have the resources of an entire universe at your disposal. EXP would slow you down. And would make you change game style: if mining no longer brings you enough...

      I was about to suggest something like that! These should be not very hard to implement programmatically, I guess. I'd like to add time limits: Do X at sector Y within Z minutes. Success -> get $, EXP, Rep; Fail -> lose small Rep. The missions don't need to be divided by enroll / promotion...

I wanted to add credit & energy calculations too, as I noticed that the optimal production chain might not be the one which goes all the way down to raw materials. Unfortunately the pricing data inside BlockConfig.xml seems incorrect. If someone knows...

      There are several really nice ideas here, imho: 1. Different raw material distribution. Resources should be common (used for almost everything), uncommon -- used for more advanced things, and rare -- for special things. Resource distribution and usage should lead to supply & demand fluctuations...

      What I'm saying is: it's not the devs who are to blame. It's the players. Lets stop suggesting things like 5/8 slab or monitor hepta or fuchsia hull set or whatever. The game has enough block variety for pretty much any build. It would be better if we suggest ideas, not blocks. A fan fantasy...

      Well, you're kinda right. I'm afraid the team is losing too much effort in tinkering the game, while in its current state it is good enough. Adding some depth, not features, will make it much more enjoyable and replayable (like living NPC guilds, diplomacy ... ). They say they are doing exactly...
