      Prevent UI click-through to inventory

This has caused much "fun" involving blocks being placed directly in front of my shipyard controller.

Shift to sprint while in gravity

For the love of space, please give us this so there's some actual advantage to being in gravity and so going thru hallways doesn't feel like we're in one of those annoying tension-building scenes in a horror movie.

Ideas on the Role of Crew

Certainly you'd want to crew your shuttle for crazy survivability and some better (more protected than them all just flying out of the mothership) boarding. I just don't think that we'll be doing any actual missions beyond taking something over, because of the editable nature of the environments.

Ideas on the Role of Crew

Longwinded post, so tl;dr up front: Crew should be TOS redshirts for repairs, boarding, and defense from boarding. You should want interiors so that the crew can get around to defend and repair the ship. So, there's a lot of things crew could do, but I've thought a lot about it and I have some...

Weapons testing yet again (Dev build 141)

Typo, 5 and 6 are next to each other. It is indeed 11k. So close the test target actually will hit me sometimes while testing cannons. Under 50m, so of course they're at their maximum damage potential. Will they do as well in actual combat? Surely not, unless you get the drop on someone with a...

Weapons testing yet again (Dev build 141)

Information on what was actually changed was rather sparse, so I got back into singleplayer to shoot up the old 11,175 shield/s 263,250 shield target with the weapons test platforms (4x 3x5x10+1 weapon groups, 50/50 for slaves): Beam -: 6 volleys @10s reload with 7.5s burst, ~58 seconds beam...

      Repulse Module Warning

They make your ship float in gravity. Basically, for pod-racing.

      Game Balance Suggestions

In terms of damage per energy, cannons should be the best because they're bad at hitting. Beams should be the worst due to being easy to hit.

      A Reason To Play

Just because there's a cap doesn't mean that many people reach it. You're looking at a game where 50 active players at once across all servers is unusual, remember. Noobstomping is something some people like to do, that's a simple fact. Similarly, not everyone likes leaderboards. The problem...

      A Reason To Play

I think this would discourage PvP overall because people would accidentally get to too high a tier and then be unable to kill anyone else. Similarly, some people would intentionally stay at a low tier to stomp noobs. Other people would spend a lot of time going up tiers just to go toe-to-toe...

      Repulse Module Warning

They're also incredibly expensive at shops. Would be fun too if planets weren't so boring.

      This game is now pointless

Known bug, hopefully will be fixed soon. Make sure to save to blueprint often.

Beta Galaxy needs more than just Isanths

Make pirates actually fearsome, but make them not quite so everpresent, then give players some good, but rather small ships so they need to work their way up. And make the game a little less silly with starting out with the crazy amount of ores to mine and the uselessness of planets and such.

Ability to substitute blocks for repairs

It's a space game where nothing ever breaks and engines magically fire any direction from inside the ship, I think we can stomach being able to easily change the color of things.

Ability to substitute blocks for repairs

I think it would be nicer if we just got rid of paints and selected hull color similarly to shape, and then the shipyard could just use whatever color to fill in. Less hassle, and right now paints don't really make the game any more fun.

Make Chamber Size A Set Percentage (Remove Levels)

I find wanting (20*10^N)-1 reactor blocks really counterintuitive as well as kind of hard to build for, like many aspects of Power 2.0.

Roleplay PVP rules that are easily applied to server battles?

People hate it when you touch their baby, or Schema's baby. Relatedly, OP is looking at doing this on LvD, thus a rather vanilla-like config (mainly way less stabilizer distance is different) that strongly favors the vertical ship meta and a playerbase that will be unlikely to abandon their...

Roleplay PVP rules that are easily applied to server battles?

You want rules to make PvP more sane? Edit the configs. Set stabilizer distances lower, enable breakaway, enable collision damage (with a lower sensitivity than the default "I touched a wall there go some blocks"), turn off the ship dimension affecting turn rate (absolute failure of a...

      Quality of Life stuff 8.2018

I like the longer duration, but I would like the cooldown to be slightly more, so that only b/c can really do continuous fire.

      Jump Drive into Hyperspace Drive

The word hyperspace evokes the correct idea in players' minds easier. Also, this wouldn't allow steering.
