For a long time now i tried to do a capital sized ship again, this is the battleship Nidhoggr:
It features heavy weaponry and turret count with strong defensive systems.

I doubt that a block based game would run very well with graphics like that (other games like Fractured Space running in Unreal4 can pull that off)

BATTLESHIP UPDATE:
The Battleship (from the video i posted last week) is getting done faster than i expected.
The inside is as good as finished
a lot of turrets to dock though :)
One big negative of alpha weapons is the additional power capacity that is needed to actually fire a shot (that issue is of course dependent on ship and weapon size).
Complete overhaul: Switched the majority of the advanced black hull to standard for design reasons, tried to fix a few of the power issues (lowered weapon count for missile systems and main turrets), added a few new systems and secondary turrets....

actually they are not that big (;)), i edited the previous post to include a download link for the main turrets if anyone is interested.
Looking back i am not very happy with the cerberus anymore... i would rather update something else tbh. - or build something new :)

Well, most of them are pretty old, i am currently updating a few ships, but that only happens slowly. The Cerberus and a few others are a lost cause though, i built it when the thrust mechanics were very different.
In one of my first "big" (would be a small frigate by today's standard) ships i used a very delicate and special power configuration, going completely crazy with power crosses stretching through the ship while trying to maximize the dimensions - after battletesting i abandoned that quickly...
