To be fair to the OP, the StarMade installation & Launcher are far from standard and I had to double-take before realizing how it worked and I'm a software engineer! :p

      [Closed][Starmap] - StarOS Map

Thanks for getting back to me. I'm a code monkey, ASP.Net/C#/Java/C are my main skills, but I'll ask around to see if anybody I know wants to help you out =) ~CR~

      COLORS FOR WEAPONS

Firrion is spot on. Link the plexlight (or even a colored crystal block) to the primary weapon computer in a similar way you link in secondary/effect computers, and it does the job.

      [Closed][Starmap] - StarOS Map

Implementing StarOS into my community website has been on my to-do list near 6 months now. Now it's bubbled up to the top of the pile, I see it's currently unusable! I'm gutted! Is there anything I can do to help you (blackcancer) to pick this up and carry on supporting it? ~CR~

      World Limit?

As far as I know, the only thing you can adjust the probability of spawning are shops. What you could do is generate all the sectors for, say, 100 in every direction outside the bounds of your map & use the advanced admin commands to import empty sectors over sectors that contain...

Is there a way to mass select blocks of the same type?

If you mean "select all blocks of type 'X'" then no, that feature doesn't exist. Neither does the "Replace all blocks of type 'X' with type 'Y'". If you want to mass-link, say, all AMC's to a weapon computer, then yes, Shift + V when targeting the AMCs will select all AMCs that are in one...

i can not see the damage beams

Now I'd not heard of that before. Interesting. I wonder if it's a graphics chipset/driver related glitch. Mmmmmm. I'll give it a look see anyway! Might be a valid bug.

i can not see the damage beams

Oh yes, good reminder. If you're behind Plexglass blocks, you can't see beams/missiles on the other side of the glass!

i can not see the damage beams

I believe there's an in-game setting to draw beams. Did you turn that off?

      USS Galaxy

My god man I just had a nurdgasm! Why can I only 'like' this once?!!?

      long wait for approval

Erm, because they are struggling to load in the WHOLE DeathStar2? No idea, but I'm interested in checking them out!

Who else doesn't like the new planets?

Awesome, I did see that in the config but wasn't absolutely certain how it would work out. Now I'm going to go round all the unused planets in my server and replace the sectors with nice new big planets! Or just bin the server and start again, I don't know...

      Game Balance: The Mathematical Approach

Oh I totally agree with you Lecic, but in order to provide something that's at least capable of engaging the player, you need to start with the base-line math. Without it, you end up with a half dozen systems that fight each other internally and fail either instantly or when applied to extremes...

      Game Balance: The Mathematical Approach

While I share your thoughts on this, don't forget there is a wider modding community too. By limiting changes to what we can change through the configuration available to us, we can all invent our own system and I don't see your work above as being that far from possible in the current version...

Who else doesn't like the new planets?

When out of a ship, doesn't aiming at an object and pressing X orientate you with the object? I'm pretty sure this works with ships but does it work with planets too? This would make travel between ship & planet a lot cleaner without digging holes in your ship! Personally, I love the new...

      Game Balance: The Mathematical Approach

Ironically, with a few more days pouring over the numbers and tweaking the offsets, multipliers and drop-off curves, you'd actually pretty much nail a good alternative to the current state of gameplay balance. I might even be able to help along the way =) Economy is something totally different...

      Game Balance: The Mathematical Approach

I can't believe I actually made it all the way through your post, but what a write up. I love your ideas here, though there are a few holes and flaws. #1, you talk about Power, but you don't detail that power tanks and power generators each take up half the permitted '25%' of your 'well rounded...

      Dockingmodule

Yup! It's a known limitation that we're still working around and has effects on the docking orientation for side-mounted or under-slung turrets/etc. Just bare the limitation in mind while developing your ships and structures and you'll find you can work around it. Mostly.

      Star Wars Ship Build Request

Everything you need to know can be provided through Google. =) Rather straight forward. Download and install 7-Zip. Once installed, download the provided blueprint rar file. Once downloaded, right-click on the blueprint rar file and select '7-Zip' -> 'Extract Files...' When prompted for a...

      In Game Programming

This type of thing, while massively complicated to code in to StarMade right now, could potentially handle a whole rift of tasks, from switching weapon effect groups from ion to punch-through rather than having two whole weapon groups to even auto-docking drone fighters! Good idea, and as said...
