      You can also use commands to save a station entity and spawn it in with those commands. I've never done it myself, but I know there's a /save-entity or something along those lines and a /load-entity <entityname> or something like that.

      Yeah, faction colours should stay consistent. I meant the faction as a whole would have its colour choice randomized.

      Randomly generated weapons would add a lot to alien ships (or just in general with pirates), along with randomized hull colours.

      This is actually a really cool idea. It shouldn't activate until shields drop, I think, because otherwise people would just put magnets on poles and most of the enemies' shots would miss.

      Yes to increasing sector size like you can with planets. Also, the thruster changes will probably help a bit with large ships going max speed, with needed to choose how to allocate thrust in different directions.

      Yeah, infectious lifeforms are cool, but... How do you survive in singe player if it takes multiple factions to take them out?

      Yes, packs of similar ships would probably be better. Randomly built ships made from prebuilt parts would be cool, but I'm not sure if thats possible. If it is, though, that'd be cool.

      "Never efficient to fly analogue". Well, duh. Even with FTL travel time, it still wouldn't be more efficient to fly analogue. People will fly analogue because you need to for battles, moving around in shorter areas, mining, ect.

      How would it reuse the code from the turret and player model? The player has a "skeleton" with animations, it doesn't actually make steps and move because of friction like that. A mech is built from blocks. Unless you ignore the hitbox of a mech an implement a standard one, that wouldn't work...
