      I like this... The idea of having more choices than just "more thrusters or less thrusters" or "more shield recharge or more shield capacity" sounds great and would add a lot more depth to systems engineering.

      Modding this into Starmade isn't as easy as you might think... A lot of the code is obfuscated and there isn't a modding API in place yet (And there won't be until the core game is in a more completed state.) Sadly, we have to wait on Schema.

      First of all, the ratings (Offense, Defense, Mobility, whatever) are broken, and this is known. Ignore them for now; they're being balanced and fixed but I have no idea when they'll reach a meaningful, balanced state. Second of all, Standard and Advanced Armor are now heavier than system blocks...

      That's not how Star Trek's shipyards work either. They're basically just structures where you can dock and repair starships, not some kind of magical repair ring system.

      That's exactly what a shipyard is. You fly in, dock, and you can access a Shipyard Computer that lets you repair the ship.
