      What if the second HP pool for armor varied depending on whether the plates were connected or not? You could have multiple, unconnected plates, each with their own HP then. That's the one I personally like the most, but any of the things refirendum suggested would we greatly welcomed.

      Look at the top of a block. Press 'O'. Zoom out to third person and enjoy. You'll sit differently depending on whether you sit on things like a wedge or the edge of a block.

      Well, currently, with each shield capacitor, you get around 55 shields per block, I think. Armor has the advantage of more HP given per block. However, armor is only as strong as you make the armor thick, so unless you make your ship have obscenely thick armor, regenerating, ship-wide shield...

      Since everything is built in game, technically it doesn't need to be spawned into the vanilla universe. It's actual gameplay regardless of whether it spawns or not.

      I think it'd be cool if factioning ships had a cost based on the ship's mass. Larger factions could afford more factioned ships. It shouldn't be a hard limit on how many ships you can have, just an overall mass limit.

      It's not really possible. Maximum block HP, in the code, is 256. I wouldn't mind if the HP of all armors was boosted by 50. 100 for basic, 150 for standard, 250 for hardened. What we really need is some kind of combined HP pool for all hull blocks. So, if 50 standard hull was all connected...

      It's actually PUNCH that provides the passive armor boost effect. Pierce provides resistance to carry-through damage from active punch, pierce, and possibly explosive and missiles, though I'm not sure about those. On topic, I agree.       Depends on how thick and what tier your armor is. 5 blocks thick of advanced armor with passive punch is very powerful.
