LoL, a space taxi, that's an interesting challenge. I've finished the day one challenge.
Building on camera is really an interesting, it caused me to rush and probably make mistakes, like I completely forgot to actually connect the turret enhancers.
As far as I know the game will always be free but some doors may be closed off to the free version such as servers only allowing paid users to join. They've also announced the price will be raised soon so now is the best time to get it.
Structural integrity = shield. If there is a number that has to be reduced to zero before a ship can take damage then it is a shield regardless of what spin you put on it or how you name it. We have shields, we don't need another one.
I'm all for armor getting a buff but I'm more interested...
I made a video demonstrating some bugs I've found in the dev build.
After the video was made I also found that my fighter equipped with lasers would only draw 1/8 lasers and when I tried to attack a target it would draw the others but my FPS would drop to 0

I really hope these are not that close to the final balance. I know most weapon systems will have to be rebuilt but this the current cannons are not even close to what they were. Of the ships I've tested my destroyer can fire one of it's 32 cannons, and cannot maintain power for her turrets...
Everybody has their own classifications, my "light corvette" will certainly fit the bill for this build. I enjoy building challenges because it help keeps the game from getting stale. I may or may not participate in this as I already have 5 or 6 work in progresses going but the small size...
Looking forward to playing with the actually balanced weapons, I also had a weird bug this morning and I'll have to see if it happens again in this build.
While in the ship you can open the structure tab (Delete Key), locate Turret Docking System, and click activate all. Additionally you can activate individual turrets by targeting them and using the AI Config tab.
Personally I don't consider anything over 50 mass a fighter but I need to build a new light corvette that can dock with my carrier, so maybe I'll do that.
The latest dev build I tried didn't have most of the connections working yet. I hope we will get some missile balances. KB seems to randomly attacked allied turrets only and will ignore the ship 10 meters away and hit a target 500 meters away. SD-BBs are so slow you can fire at a target, pass...
