      Slab storage is not the problem; massive blocks of empty storage are. Rendering masses of connected slabs barely causes any more lag than blocks, and you have to remember that it only makes slabs on the top surface of a cargo mass anyway.

      Or just optimize the empty blocks so that they work like glass or any normal transparent block, i.e. make them not try to render internal geometry. Transparency isn't really the culprit here.

      Block storage volume is currently equal to mass. However, this can be changed via config and may be rebalanced by default in the future, so the UI does not say "Mass".

      Agreed; you should only find those sorts of things out in the Arse-end of the galaxy. ;) At any rate, in all seriousness system names do need a bit of work. Half the systems are one syllable (Ga, Ve, Ka, Car, Ce, El...) and a third of them are really weird-looking, even for alien names...

      I'm just imagining a ship that yells "DIIIIICKS!" every time it fires its swarm missiles, or something equally ludicrous. Give players something like this, and they will misuse it. Hard. Never mind that people will use shitty low-quality annoying noises that nobody wants to hear, or bloat...

Power is eventually getting a mechanics pass, if I remember correctly, and that will probably include some kind of fueled reactor for larger ships, at which point there will be no need for docked reactors and they can be nerfed...

      This is a bug, and actually not very hard to fix. I think helmets are supposed to be put on by right-clicking (and they have to stay in your hotbar) but for whatever reason they automatically get put on and taken off again if you have them selected. Also, pulling the helmet out of your hotbar...

      "Interesting" in the same way that blowing up a star is interesting. Awesome, but for gameplay reasons it shouldn't be possible, plain and simple. At least, it shouldn't be possible to eat a planet until you've first blown it up, and blowing planets up should not be nearly as trivial as it is now.
