I don't like the idea of rare, expensive, powerful blocks, because some yahoo is going to get a hold of enough of them to build a titan out of super-blocks, and then everyone else on the server is fucked. Well, we ARE getting Hyperdrives at some point, which are basically the same thing as this.

Well, this would certainly be interesting... but I don't think it'd solve the issue between system cubes and more RP styled ships. You'd just have system cubes with an entire layer of spaced hull.

You can already do vertical launch missiles, though. The only reason you'd need something like this would be to fire weapons in multiple directions at once, which is a waste of energy for cannons/beams, and can easily be done just with multiple computers for missiles.

This, combined with the other linked threads, is the best way to improve the economy aspect of this game. Otherwise, it'll continue to stagnate.

This definitely sounds like a bug that this is functional. Anyway, the solution to this kind of ship is simple. Break your cloak and jam with scanners, then launch swarmers. This thing almost certainly has very minimal shields, so I doubt it'll take much of a hit.

Solar Panels aren't going to be useful unless a fuel system is implemented. So, for just plain solar panels, I'm going to say no support.
