If you want to hit something like that with cannons, then strap Overdrive on your fighter and close in, or just lead your damn shots and hope for the best... Not every weapon needs to work for every possible application. Cannons already have enough advantages over beams.

Cannons can very much hit enemy ships, in fact they're generally the preferred weapon for block damage because of their better damage model. Missile/Cannon is a little harder to use, but in closer-quarters combat you can do some serious damage with them. I hate to use this phrase, but... Git...

In regards to the battery subsystem that is in the works

Why not? The only reason to be able to toggle a power battery off, is to build up its reserve (aux.) power. And the only reason to build up aux power, unless your ship was built in an exceedingly strange way (Why would your thrusters or shield gen rely on a short burst of power that takes a long...

In regards to the battery subsystem that is in the works

Perhaps without a controller, the reactors should just run constantly and not be toggleable.

      Astronaut-launcher.

The Aethi Avar-Kiaan-class Cruiser has a gravity ejector that does effectively this. Lots of fun, and surprisingly useful.

In regards to the battery subsystem that is in the works

??? The fun of designing something with more technical complexity than "put down ### blocks in an empty space in your ship, get ### power/damage/whatever" is a significant factor, not something to dismiss. So is user-friendliness. I propose that there be a single "Power Battery Controller" (Or...

      Criss' Thread

They are too cluttered, and the black lines are too symmetrical. IMO.

      Thermite is Fun!

It is. Currently there's a bug that you can't use them on any ship with anything else in hotbar, so any serious testing is basically impossible.

A concept to fundementally change warpgate functionality.

Do this, add the hyperdrive capital system, remove jump drives. FTL in StarMade? Done. Next issue.

Easier copy/paste box placement (and more)

If one is pulled up from the grave to save the world, Malac, they are still pulled up from the grave. A necropost isn't inherently a bad thing.

      How Does Stop Work?

Reduceing the size of turrets with weapon emitter blocks

Yes, but it does not make up for the time that could have been used to bring other, possibly more important features to the players.

Reduceing the size of turrets with weapon emitter blocks

To me, because - especially in Starmade - development man-hours are very finite, and implementing a new "weapon array" thingy would probably take significantly more time than shrinking turrets by letting you put secondary systems in the turret base. Also, because honestly, beam emitter strips...

Reduceing the size of turrets with weapon emitter blocks

I consider myself a somewhat hardcore Trekkie, but Roddenberry fanboys/white-knights are something else entirely... I was hoping not to run into them here either. >.>

Reduceing the size of turrets with weapon emitter blocks

I dislike the new movies because they just don't feel right, to me, for a Star Trek movie (granted, many of the old ones were crap) but yeah, the butthurt is comically strong with this one...

Reduceing the size of turrets with weapon emitter blocks

I'm pretty sure that wasn't part of his vision; it was just a way to explain the cheap VFX.
