You can use Megacrafter127's blueprint converter to turn a ship into a station, place station blocks, and then convert back to ship with the converter. WARNING- A lot of the blocks are really broken. Don't use a plexlifter, especially.

I always laugh at death messages from planet plates. The person either killed themselves on lava or shot themselves with a logic-activated weapon on the plate, and either of those are just complete failures.

Might it have something to do with the fact that Blackhawk is banned on SS?

I see no reason the individual plates couldn't be mined after the core is nuked. The main issue from planet mining I've noticed is when the plates are all together.

I don't think you can really enforce a conservation act on a faction that didn't sign that act. Not without force, and if you force them to, they'll probably just go nuke more of the gates.
