      It wouldn't be related to that, since he said he CAN get on the server, but quickly crashes (Wrong version gives an error message while trying to connect, and tell you its a version error). Did you try Clearing the Client Cache? (Under Tools on the Connection Setup Screen) That used to help...

      I've had that problem a few times before somewhat. It almost like I was being ejected from Laggy sectors, sometimes up to 5 sectors, few times more. Never had that problem around shops though.
