hmm if I remember right you can send a logic signal to the factory blocks to turn them on and off. Same thing with storages. Getting a signal from the block only lets you turn it off if you send a signal back using the one you got.
In any event this is why my server I'm on waits a few days...
hmm good thing I'm waiting to update my main directory. Time to go bug smashing and also items ending up lost should result in them being ejected into space and the default setting for that is off right now so something is diffidently up.
I've been wondering what they'll do for stations since the large number of blocks is needed. If we can just send blocks from entity to entity I'm just going to dock my cargo ship to what I'm working on.
Speaking of cargo ships I'm going to build a new one before updating. XD
Well being able to see where one section starts and ends but not seeing the section itself might help. Say when someone finishes their part only the basic shape it takes when bumping up against another section will be seen. So it'd be like a 1 block wide shadow boarder where it meets the rest...
it needs a few more edge cases in what it targets though, if no Systems aim for power/shields, if none there aim for armor, it also needs a aim for anything else case for things like asteroids and planets since those don't always have the blocks of a ship or station to be targeted. :)
lol yes this, people want to upper layers of the multiverse boarder but fail to account for the fact the rest of it has to exist first before they can have it. XD
hmm I'm thinking the issue with not being able to see the banners or get on the banner page might be on my end but no clue what I could have done to cause that to happen. >_>
Hate to shamefully promote another thread but would any part of this idea help with random factions and ships? http://starmadedock.net/threads/blank-parts-and-blocks-idea.8724/
Well the blank Computers could be shortened to just one kind of blank computer where it auto syncs as blank comp mods to its settings on linking. You'd just hit R on it to bring up its menu, pick if you want it to be Weapon, Secondary, or Effect and you'd be able to still slave link it to any...
