      Must have pretty explosions! But seriously, that was one of the biggest gripes I've had over things like missiles, the blocks pretty much just vanish in neat little holes with nothing to really show for it. I'd love to light somebody up with this and revel in the carnage!

      Actually, nuclear warheads are crap in space. Virtually all of their destructive power comes from being in an atmosphere where the radiation they cause creates a blast wave. In space, no atmosphere means no blast wave means a nuclear bomb is nothing but an EMP weapon with some radiation.

      I'd still think it would be easier to simply save the design of the base unmodified ship and designs of all the modules so that you could load them in piecemeal. Then when you get a design you like, save that off as a finished ship.
