Right now the scanner is useful to find hostiles in your system and to de-jam/cloak enemy ships. No idea if it can do more than that right now.

You wont be able to find a server without PvP But I do believe there are some servers with PvE only areas and such

you do know how much space power takes up, right? and how easy it is to break the power lines, not to mention that when you lose system HP your systems becomes less and less effective. You need to get good and learn how to make proper weapons or shoot properly. Also what made you think that...

it's horrible in term of systems since it has not been updated since before the HP update, which is why it is rather slow and difficult to kill for equally sized ships
