I would suggest building the entire Frame of the ship you will be able to see the scale of the ship and get a general idea of how it will look when its done, this is something i personally do i find it much easier to build ships especially if your using reference images

You dont, there is currently no way to get Ships to spawn in naturally without them being a part of the Pirate or Trading Guild factions. So you have to manually spawn in ships and set them to the faction...

When it comes to Mods in Minecraft i say screw that i can never figure out how to make em work...

You could always use another Username and make a new Faction and set it to be an enemy to everyone then have AI ships and spawn in stations and ships for that faction. but that would really only work on multiplayer because you would know where everything was...

I have just discovered i do not have any new Stations in my Station folder. I had recently redownloaded Starmade and for some apparent reason the new stations did not get downloaded.
