I suggest including a large missile-spam array, simply for the point of completely overwhelming their point defense systems and doing some extra damage.
No ships point defense can deal with hundreds of missiles at once and they dont cost much power
Do you even multiplyer lol??
Playing with other players IS MUCH more fun than playing by yourself, theres plans on adding a more dynamic universe but itll take some time to code and test
If a ship can keep you dead in the water, that ship could also blow you into dust in an instant.
It takes a lot more work to keep a ship drained than to blow it up, so seems blanced
The problem is that a lot of players who join servers im on have very little idea what theyre doing, and require a lot of help.
If they knew what theyre doing itd be ok, but most of them dont a quickly lose interest and leave.
I think removing all asteroid spawning was a bad idea, it should be...
only problem is that no asteroid spawning is TERRIBLE for new players.... theyll spawn in, and all the sectors around spawn will be devoid of any mining... theyll have to travel 100's of km on foot to get to the asteroid belts... its already started happening on some servers..
You can also set your turrents to send out a steady stream of missiles, you just have multiple computers, each one with a different ratio between the linked beam-missiles
Thats why timing is key....
If their PD is allready saturated with hundreds of missiles the second and third volleys are a guaranteed hit (if you time it right)
Currently Im trying out a combo.
First I launch a few hundred lock-on missile-beam missiles (decent firepower, but mainly decoys)
Straight after I fire some heavy lock-on missile-beam-(95%)ion missiles to take down sheilds.
Then a ton of heavy missile-pulse nukes to blow their inards out
So Im currently fiddling around with how to break through point defense (for missiles) and how to create a good point defense (against missiles)
Obviously spamming tons of missiles might work, but how many turrets would be required to defend against a certain volume of missiles (assuming they...
