It's not based off of ship size, you just need more rail mass enhancers the larger your turret is. You can keep expanding your main ship as much as you want as long as you have enough rail mass enhancers for the turret.
Here is the info for them:
"This block is used to combat slow down on...
I have one now! Sniper cannon and sniper missile turrets as well as anti fighter main cannons. This ship was mainly based off of modern planes.
Nice little engine room
Also has the standard amenities expected aboard a Terran Defense vessel.
I've also made a small freight transport for...
I would have most likely done a TNG style bridge had I had actual beige blocks. It ended up looking kinda ridiculous with just the solid block so I left it as is. I'd kill for a proper beige block
Thanks man. Really feels almost like a hotel when you walk around in it. After I finish the fleet...
I've finally gotten around to designing and creating a ship that I'm quite proud of. Aesthetically, it merges the design choices of Star Trek, mass effect, modern U.S. Naval destroyers like the Zumwalt and Cruise Ships in order to create a design which is sleek and "Earth Feeling". Ideally, I...
The mantle could have varying kinds of ore deposits in each one. This would allow different planets to be composed primarily of different materials. Although almost all ore is located within the Crust on real planets, an appropriate analogue in starmade would be to have the mantle have a variety...
Now it's benefitted me with a conversation! Thanks for responding, I think you may have confused some of my points though, which is completely my fault for not articulating them clearly. I don't want sphere planets or space engineer planets or whatever. That would only serve to remove a lot of...
Yea! I'm by no means expecting to get like, topographical recreations of planets, but I think that a more focused and randomly generated universe would be insanely cool! a reason to actually go out and explore planets would be incredible. Going out on missions to find planets with a high parseen...
Hey! Thanks for replying, however I'd really appreciate it if you could offer some criticism or some sort of counter. Saying "there's no point" adds absolutely nothing to the discussion, and benefits nobody. Saying things like "increasing realism causes the game to lose some of its identity" is...
Yea, I can totally understand that. Having a unique look is what allows games to stand out from the crowd and develop an original identity. Being a space nerd, I'm more for a realistic universe, but I can see the value in a crazy one.
Essentially, I was thinking it'd be interesting if planets (and the ore they contained) generated based upon meeting realistic criteria. This would mean that like their real counterparts, planets would develop characteristic based upon their distance from the sun and their distance to other...
Starmade currently has a very sort of unique cartoony look going on. The planets are highlighter colors and every star system has a very vibrant background with fruity, colorful atmospheres. Planets are everywhere and look more like bubblegum then planets.
Planets in starmade are...
Yea, I have noticed the nacelles being a little too close together as well. Problem is is that I'm a little too far into development and I'm not sure if it'd really be doable to move everything around. If it bugs me enough, ill do it, otherwise I'll just headcanon it into being the movie version...
