its been awhile for me and the new versions of blender hav changed alot but I do believe the textures are tied to the material. The newest versions of blender use the node system so you should be able to swap out the texture to another one.

most likely cuz the feature is incomplete. when schine decides to finally allow factories on ships by default it will most likely require storage modules. Im going to go ahead and build my ship factories with storage modules in order to future proof them.
ok its working now. looks like i didnt have all the resources for the selected recipe. the fact that the factory does not sense the storage modules was throwing me off
just tried it out. it allows me to place factories on ships but they dont work. i place items in them and nothing happens. i connect storage modules to them to expand their inventories and still nothing. did you manage to get it work on your server?
the copy paste size is tied to the player_max_build area parameter in your server.cfg file in your starmade folder. if you are playing on single player you can just change it to something more useful. I play with it set on 100 blocks.

if everything you upload goes above the 50mb free limit then you can just upload the .obj file of the model to sketchfab then manually upload and apply the textures. I've found that only the initial upload has to be within the 50mb limit (unless they've changed things, haven't uploaded anything...
