Thank you for clarification so this means that if i am happen to be at the right place at the right time when such a claculation happens. i could witness said npc faction ships warp into my sector and start to establish them selfes?
the thing is in theory you could calculate for all that stuff. and we are testing to make sure that every eventuality gets taken care of. but idk man i still feel like i do not want it to be calculated i would want to send pirates out there and actually hunting their ships... if the do not...
Since they do not really play the do not expand. it is not like there would be a cronjob running on the server simulating them even though nobody is online. If we are not looking nothing happens and when we return suddenly the faction has expanded even though they could not have for we parked...
So factions are merely once calculated static quest giving npcs. not really doing anything on their own then? so once calculated that is how their faction space looks like and done? why am i not excited then?

Ok i have no clue how it went for i was not able to attend that weekend due to family business, i'd like to challenge the winner for a friendly "shred to pieces" battle. Who would that be?
the abbveriation "JK" actually stands for just KIDDING but yes it was not meant serious... it just happened that i released a ship which simulated the thruster effects schine added into the game now about two weeks ago...
schine are such copy cats putting thruster ignition in the game ... DSY Inc. Type-D Scimitar JK, great changes the logic and display copy thing is awesome!
originall the ship had roughly 3.x million power storage and the missile turrets would produce energy and feed it to the ship for storage purpose untill the missile would fire every 45 seconds... thus using up the stored power...
Well recent update also killed this mechanic for those turrets...
Rebuild from the ground up.
- Lighter armor
- bigger in size more space for interior (4 floors) and systems
- it has it's old turrets back...
- new prototype engines you'll love them.
as usual beauty full, role play suited and battle ready.
since any equally sized loose entity still would cause the same lag it is not solved.
What happened was that instead of just providing an alternative so people could adapt and we figure if it is a good one or not 4 blocks in the game got rendered useless a new block got introduced that explodes...
problem is schine did not solve it, they removed it and replaced it with something that in their eyes works better.
Guess what docked reactors didn't explode... and each and every turret i had produces it's own energy and the missile turrets store their power they need to fire every 45 seconds...
