Really? Because all I could smell was salt, piss and battery acid.

Controversial threads like this one are always good for the popcorn, then those who say the community overreacts point to it and say 'see what I mean?'. Same thing that happened with GamerGate. But that's another story.

Solid 8/10. We have a familiarity with each other that only a long time spent with few people can breed, yet we also have a tendency to be caustic, and easy to disagree. Also, with regards to bronies, like any group, the ones that speak the loudest are the ones that everyone hears. Most people that are bronies aren't even known as such because they don't cram their tastes down peoples throats. That is merely my experience though.

8/10 like the early minecraft days... the more popular it gets the easier it gets worse but for now everything the officials could do is taken care of. Members are mixed as in every community but in here everyone seems to behave.

I like to think about StarMade forums as a bar filled with people...
Some come in, some come out...
You have almighty Devs serving updates. You have people who gather around one table discussing an idea, at first calmly, but then screaming over each other, but coming closer (or further) to solution. You have that little corner where people fight with their personal enemies, throwing them to another tables sometimes...
And lastly, that quiet guys, who come and just look around.
What I'm coming to, StarMade comunity consists of wide range of different people. Basically, you go to whatever table you want to.

Spoiler: But you want numbers, okay.

Honestly, that's a good analogy. I guess that's why I actually like it here compared to other forum-style communities.

I rate it an 8. Most of the people here are pretty friendly and most attempts at trolling just get laughed at until they go away. The one thing I do miss is the volatility, not the forum side flame wars but the genuine attempts at subterfuge to steal ship designs by infiltrating a faction, or entire fleets being destroyed server side over an insult on the forum.

Oh? That actually happened? I thought it all just ended with bluffs and namecalling until 1 side got bored and wandered of. People take this game too seriously with factions, probably the reason for, and because of the "Like EvE" mentality.
