So i haven't played starmade in a while, last time i played factories got a massive-revamp, so it's been a while. Since then i've done a factory reset on my computer, and wiped the hard drive completely. I tried installing the game today, after my friend that i showed this game mentioned that they did a massive update, and i got super excited. I installed the game, and when i clicked "Start Game" the launcher closed and nothing happened.

I'm not completely incompetent when it comes to troubleshooting computer issues, so obviously i tried running it as an administrator, didn't work, i uninstalled java completely and installed the latest version, didn't work, i reinstalled the game, didn't work, played with the memory settings, didn't work, restarted my computer, didn't work, cried a little, didn't work.

Then after my own devices failed me i searched the forums for people with similar issues, it appears to be a fairly common issue, so maybe there was a solution that i simply missed, but regardless i tried them all and it didn't work, the most promising one involved CMD, and here's the post and my CMD output

dont know what you do after that, but i tried running the game afterwards, and nothing changed.

    PC stats:
64 bit processer (AMD A4-4300M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.5 GHz)
    4GB Ram
    64 bit Windows 8 OS
Don't know what else i can include here.

The point was to get a full error message. Yours looks rather bad, I don't really know what to do with this. I'll see if I can find out, but no promises. :/[DOUBLEPOST=1417940403,1417940346][/DOUBLEPOST]

Looks like a texture file is broken, try to use the repair option.

Same problem reinstalled java and the game several times.
After first install yesterday i was able to play but cpu got to 100% when reaching a planet and i got a error saying i needed to change min and max values.
Those problems came from incorrect version of java i think.

You or may not want to try to install the JDK instead of the JRE. That oftentimes fixes this problem if no other cause is identified.

I already have the JDKs of 6, 7 &8 due to Minecraft and modded Minecraft and other java based programs I use that require different versions to run

    Same Problem here... but
with the regular Release version 0.19289 game crashes without error after hitting start Game button.
But when i try to install the newest dev build it says this

    ArrayIndexOutOfBounceException: 1

I tried Reinstalling and repairing several times

But when i use an other installation with the dev build 0.19282 it works fine.

So my question is, is there a Java change from version 0.19282 to 0.19289 ?
and wich Java i have to install to get it to work (pls send link)
And what means the Error above? it tells me i should check the Forums, but havnt found it yet.

check out the logs folder within your starmade installation. delete its content and restart the game. after it crashes again put all new content from that folder into a zip file and add it here via upload file.

    Ive fixed it.
Heres how i did it: - started steam and updated starmade over steam (ca5Mb)
    - then started the game over steam and it wanted to update the version 0.19289 to a different build 0.19289 (ca 31Mb)
    - launched the game without steam and voila, it works

Maybe this helps others to fix this problem
