Damn, looks like i'm actually going to need to TRY to win this next contest eh?Rebuilt the Python MkV hull completely. Don't regret it at all. The ship is 80% done, just need to add logic and fill in a few small remaining areas of the hull.
Hehe.Damn, looks like i'm actually going to need to TRY to win this next contest eh?
Hm. I think it's better to have no topics/themes, as that only limits creativity, right?Hehe.
Actually, what's the topic of the next contest?
Very well then, I'll submit Python as soon as it's done.Hm. I think it's better to have no topics/themes, as that only limits creativity, right?
Also, congrats to the winners, I'll poke Crusade about putting your names up at the thread.
White lights are generally your best bet for lighting, if you wanna preserve the colors of the blocks you use. Since blue lighting causes really weird green pukeish tones when mixed with orange or brown hull. As for decorative blocks, each have their own 'style'. e.g. Hazard stripes are often used to indicate danger zones, or used as frame for doors to warn this is alpha and you can get stuck. Grates are also a cool decoration within the industrial-trend. I tend to keep my interiors kinda simple with dim lighting, and lots of use of different types of hull. Here's a question/request/idea for those here, don't suppose anyone would mind popping up a few pictures of interiors. Recently tried to fill up a few rooms and realized I don't how2interior with the newer blocks and such (My last interior was pre 0.1, when there wasn't much in the way of decoration blocks).
Exterior shots are everywhere, and I can't seem to find a good picture that shows how interiors were designed/lit/laid out. Just something to maybe spur some movement over yonder.
