I collected many ideas for the game by my friends and many guys. And from me.

I thinking to the Realistic gamemode. So, i dont need it, i just got some idea what makes the game more realistic or just fun and good.

-Ship crash physics. If you crash with another ship, your hull can get damage, and if you crash with another ship at high speed your ship can get explode, dead.
-Water and Food bar. That makes more realistic, that why that just an idea. I think that is not bad idea, so that can be in the game.
-Ship projection or evacuation if your ship dead. I dont know how can i say that, but if your core got damage you don't dead just got evacuated. Example.: The Planes, if you press a button you got evacuated with a parachute. And that will be a module/block... i think.
-Manual repair. If you are in astronaut mode, you can repair (with tools, what you need to buy) blocks. Like repair hulls, power blocks, shield rechargers... etc... (I don't know this is in the game, but i never saw it.)
-Radioactivity. That for the repair think, i think that is very good idea, or just for me. If you go to the powers or just repair a power block/shield recharger etc... your radioactivity go up, and when it is on high level, you got blurred and after a while, you dead.
-For Warp Core: You can increase the max level of sectors where you can warp with put more warp module in your ship.
-Wire... Yeah, what makes big realistic... That for power, shield recharger and everything... That change the game, then i don't know who make that good idea. I don't want to specifiy that, because that is understandable.

And i recommend the "After Earth" movie for schema and for the Starmade's credits, that will make more idea in your head... :)

    1. Yes (already in the game as a server setting unless it was removed recently). Very buggy though, due to Starmade's simplified systems.
    2. Meh. Never felt food was that important in a game about ships. Should be optionally enabled if added.
    3. Dying when the core is hit is rather dumb, but the system of getting in a core to stop it overheating needs to change for this.\
    4. Just one more beam clogging up my inventory, but would be useful.
    5. Might be a possible way to make 3 work and make salvaging more dangerous. Would also make certain stars "fun".
    6. Issue is, supercaps that could afford the extra would likely be uncatchable. I'd rather have warp gates be needed for longer jumps, especially as they mean you need actual bases.
    7. Wire does not make sense when ships are made of meter cubes. Surely, the wire would be in those cubes. That said, I don't think the current power system is very good and I'd like to see intuitive complexity to it, which could be provided with some limited form of wiring.

Crash damage isn't that buggy last I checked. It's not too good though because correct me if I'm wrong, it doesn't seem to scale or scale that well with your speed. So you ram a ship head on, and you lose like 1 or 2 blocks only. Now if you want buggy, break off is buggy. Though, with the way individual blocks break into non-entity pieces, it's one small step to being more stable.

Nope, it is bugged. And you just described the bug. Well done to you there, saying it isn't bugged and then describing the bug!

I really want to understand this but I can't. I'm assuming that you're asking for some sort of automated escape pod system?

Nice, i didn't know the ship crash was in the game, but i play this game 1 year ago. And thanks for the answers. I think the crash physics is very important, or just not very, but important. And the radioactivity is not bad thing, so the manual repair is good for the game too... I don't know.[DOUBLEPOST=1413221027,1413220896][/DOUBLEPOST]

You can BUILD your own escape pods with docking ports already...
Yeah i know, but the automated is cant... So if the core get damage, we dead. And with the automated system we don't if that can be made.

I feel like an automated system would be a bit of a cop out. There should be some "skill" in using these.

Aren't escape pods obsolete in current multiplayer combat? Humongous, min-maxed ships are common, which when firing, vaporizes your ship the second your shields break.

I don't get what you're saying. Lack of developed mechanics isn't a bug on crash damage. Crash damage is also a separate feature from break off, which is what causes game crippling bugs fairly easily. At least on my machine I have no problems with crash damage.

The scaling issue is the bug. You can do what you want, but you will die as soon as you hit something. THAT was the bug I (and many others) was talking about.
