It would be reeally cool if we can view our ships like this and on a side note it bothers me that there are 2 different mouses used in the pic. (in case someone doesn't get it this part is a joke)

That is SOOOO important 3rd person at it is now is absolute useless and fighting in first person is no fun because you lose so fast sight of the things around you

I would like that too. The only danger is that a large ship may "feel" like a smaller vessel, as it will take up the same veiw. I like to place my cockpit on a raised tower at teh back of the vessel, just to look over how huge it is.
No reasons why the two points of veiw could not both be included. Just my point of view...

    Oh. and sexy grafiks

I agree. Perhaps if my viewscreen suggestion is implemented, the default view (without a linked cockpit) could be this as well.

Also proposed implementation of chase cam:
Home: reset view to default 1st person view.
End: Default 3rd-person. Shows the entire top and back of the ship in the lower half of the screen, at about 30 degrees.
Rshift : Zoom. The zoom expands from/contracts toward the core/viewpoint on the ship.
Lshift: Unlock chase cam location to rotate around ship using the mouse.
Mouse3: Turn the chase cam to face in a new direction. Double-press to reset to a "default." This faces the camera forward, with the ship between the crosshair and the edge of the screen. The chase cam "location" won't change here, just the angle.

Also, add an option to have the camera follow the crosshair (so the ship moves onscreen like in OP) or just stick to the ship like a rock.

we have been using build mode during combat to prevent from collisions, but a dedicated would be great, even if it required something like an "augmented reality module" and you fly around like you do in build mode to position the camera angle.

I like the idea of having something besides a cockpit block I can use to aim, select targets and just check out the hull of my ship mid combat in general.

what could work with this system is that the camera follows the centered cross-hair instead of the ship orientation, so you could still clearly shoot at a target and your camera would move as fast as you would like but you would be able to see bigger ships turn as slowly as they already do and smaller ships with more maneuverability would just turn as quickly as the camera making heavy ships feel heavy and light ships feel light

Have I seriously never like any of your posts before? Can be, I never really pay much interest in anything besides some disucssions.
Wait... Why are you suddenly a new member? It says you have 623 posts, but it also says you are a new member. Why?

Edit: There. Another like for you in the 'New UI and HITMARKERS' thread. Thanks for the information!

    :) thanks,

it's because a guy was disagreeing with my friend all the time for no reason so i disagreed to him along with a few other people. regretted doing that and undid the disagrees before it was seen by admins but still got my 300 likes removed :(

That shouldn't be like that, fixing in a moment.

    Edit: Fixed, you are forgiven.
