    Hey Guys,

i have a problem with my Star Made.
A few months ago I got a new PC, (Win8.1,i7,GeForce 650 4GB, 16 GB RAM) and because I really like Star Made I instaled it. Everything worked well but my FPS were at 10- 15. I played Star Made before at my Father's PC, which is quite slow, and there I got up to 45 FPS. I didn't know what to do so I stoped playing Star Made. But now here I am and want to play. And what happens? In the new settings I set the RAM configurations to a higher level. But since then, Star Made doesen't start at all. I already tried to reset the settings but it just don't work!

Does anyone got a solutions for this?

    Thanks for all help :D

I'm guessing you have a 64bit OS and you also never messed around with your Java installation. In case I'm right, it is time to do that now. Uninstall Java, download and install a 64bit JRE from here.

No, sorry, I already got x64, that isn't the problem

Just did a update of Java so it REALLY isn't the solution sorry

Although, the dedicated Server works, but just the Game doesn't

It's often the case that you have multiple java versions, even a 32 bit version on a 64 bit which overwrites them all. You really have to uninstall them all first before you install the version der_scheme posted.

-> control panel - programs - uninstall program to find all java versions you have installed.

No guys, I really just have this one. :D
I now re-installed Star Made manually and now it almost works, just if I click on OK in the window where you can type your username etc. I get the following message: IOExceptionPermission denied

Maybe it's getting better, maybe worse...

Uhm, didn't see that one before. Might be better if you upload a log about it. Try it once more and go to starmade -> logs -> the latest log.txt (ignore the numbers behind it, sort on date, take the latest one and upload that).
You could try to run starmade as administrator. Are you using a custom path installation? Maybe something went wrong with it and it doesn't allow you to access parts of the starmade folder.

Yes, Im using a custom path, I'll re-install and check out what happens on desktop maybe. I sometimes really got problems with my permissions although Im admin, for example i can't download things in some folders.
I'll upload a log to, than you can see for yourself.

Uhm, I don't got a folder called Logs, maybe it will be created at the first start but I doesn't start, remember?

Re-installing right now, we'll see if it works.[DOUBLEPOST=1410688129,1410687275][/DOUBLEPOST]Yay, it works!
But the FPS aren't better, i found out that it won't start if I change the memory settings. But I really got more memory than 1024, to be exactly 16384 MB. But if I set this value, it doesn't start. Any idea?

After it is now running .. you should be able to upload a log.0 file .. right ?
Maybe someone can take a look and has a clue what is going on!

Yeah, I COULD make that, but for what?
It is working, but if i change the memory settings NOTHING happens. --> No log will be created
So i'll let it how it is and try to have fun :D

It won't work with any setting above 1024? If this is the case then you are using java 32 bit which doesn't allow you to use more than 1GB of RAM. Putting it on 16GB of RAM isn't advised either, windows and other programs need RAM to run too.

Yeah, it just is a maximum value, almost no programm uses so much RAM. And like said before, I got 64 bit Java and it isn't just with values above 1024MB but every value, lower too.
