In a more serious note I think people are overlooking the creative possibilities of one of the most important and visual parts of any starship : Engines. So lets post up all our coolest engines to abolish boring engines forever.

Reactors provide the drive for engines, so by that logic, I see no reason not to post them :p.

I actually tried to go for something similar with my titan (with the spikes around it) but failed miserably and it ended up looking completely different from what I originally planned. Not that it's a bad thing but I may have to try it out again someday.

And you made a really good use of purple, it gave me some ideas.

These are the engine for my Titan, the Valhalla. I am still writing the lore for the ship but the 4-large blue engines are along the lines of a Pulse Ion Thruster and the 2-red finned engines are Magnetoplasmadynamic thrusters. Should be plausible for sublight speed in the future.
