I figured out that you can create resources by using the XY mirror plane. Works with rock only (maybe orientation bits are used for this feature?)

EDIT: gives just this one ore type (at least on this same planet - even though you go to another segment)

They are, and the corresponding issue is already In Queue.

As for the first issue: This should be fixed. We have a ticket on the tracker about pasting blocks you don't have creating confetti (debris).

I have noticed that when I paste something I don't have, there is a message in the server log saying overwritten by admin rights. (I am an admin on my server.)

Ok, so the bug mechanics are the same. Place all blocks of one type (or make sure you don't have any left in your inventory), copy those blocks, and spam paste. Now you have confetti

It is fixed. Like I said, you now just get confetti.

correct, and initial report only worked while being admin.
(There was a debug implemented to test paste without having the blocks when you are ADMIN or in single player. So you could only cheat yourself, or your server, but not without those permissions. =))

I think it should be highlighted as a feature as many others in single-player will think it's a bug.
And especially newbies playing this game the first time.
