When v0.201.336 was announced one of the features in the changelog was: "Can now load blueprints directly onto docks"

I recall seeing the option at the time, and I was sure it was under "create docking" in advanced build mode, but now I can't find it anymore.

I'm really starting to go a little bit wibble in the head with this, so can somebody please point me in the right direction - preferably with some screenshots?

    Cheers!

In Build mode, point the cursor at the rail/turret axis you want to spawn to.
Go to the blueprint screen and select the unit you want to load.
Check the box to set as your part of your own faction.
Check the box that says spawn docked.

If you were aiming at the rail, your entity will appear, spawned to the dock.

Ah! So its under "Admin load". I'd assumed it required a filled BP.

    Well, it worked, cheers!

Yeah. It's great in creative mode but kind of limits what you can do in survival mode; which is unfortunate since you can spend a lot of time replacing damaged/destroyed fighters and turrets after a fight. Hopefully, they'll improve on that feature.

Glad I could point you in the right direction. (y)

So I finally used this to turret a BP... 12 PD turrets and 4 small capital turrets.

    Took like 2 minutes.

Total game changer. More than half of my unfinished designs were unfinished mainly because the turret work was a completely overwhelming project that was way too easy to put off / procrastinate.

    I love it.
