Asteroid attached rails don't work

Today i built a small asteroid base and put a basic rail to dock my ships into it, but for some reasons it does not consider the rail as a rail itself but as an asteroid, so i can't dock anything at it.
Is this a bug or something made on purpose?

take a look in the to reproduce list ... 3.3 is the only ting that is working afaik

And here I thought it was on purpose. Many players have uploaded asteroids to build on in the dock. If you are single player you can admin load them in

All this time I thought it was by design that we couldn't.

Interesting, I tried to setup a docking point on an asteroid some time ago. That didn't work, so I thought that was by design. :D
