Making Asteroid Stations is hard enough, but now I cannot even save them to a blueprint to make into an actual station, It says in the error that its "disabled to prevent duping" even on my singleplayer, is there a .classs file or some code I can edit to get past this prompt?

no .. if it would be possible that would again be an exploit and had to be patched away again.

because it creates a BP wich in turn can be used by non admins .. and can be uploaded to servers.

Can you suggest another way to get an asteroid station? maybe replacing the default pirate stations with asteroids or something?

But unless you've got access to admin commands - which should be legitimation enough - you'd need the resources or at least enough credits to actually spawn it in?
Also I think resource veins are placed during procedural generation - I haven't ever tried making a blueprint from an asteroid, but I wouldn't be surprised if you'd end up with a bunch of rocks and lava, without any crystal/ore resources, from a blueprint spawned asteroid.

Valck .. yes that is what happens when you take a copy paste template ... the resources do get removed.
however - crystal and ore is saved as a rotation of the basic asteroid material .. and rotations are stored in blueprints.
so you could fill a BP with letzt say Stone and spawn it in , harvest, fill it in again and so on. exploit .

the only Asteroid Station way i do see (without taking an Asteroid and living with its limitations) is to build a Station from Asteroid materials.
You could use copy paste templates from actual asteroids to build the Shape. (it will remove the ressources from the template)

If this is the case, cant a blueprint do a check for these "Rotated Blocks" that then become the material? And Only allow the blueprint to save if it contains none? (Or even a "If asteroid, Replace 1 (ore) with 0 (rock)").

I doubt something like that is worth it, or could be done, but its a suggestion none the less...

So how come templates are OK, and blueprints aren't? I mean, both would (I suppose) store the rotation. Are asteroid blocks rotated to their default orientation in templates, and templates only? If so, it seems like it's trivial to apply that to blueprints as well.

you may want to discuss this in suggestions .. maybe .
because it isnt a game bug as such and i cant say anyting else than that ... mostly because i have no idea about the game code.
