Again, you're acting like the individuals preferences get a significant say, when in reality, the council is just there to filter our suggestions, not impose their own ideas. Schine already has alot of the game planned out, the suggestions are there to help add to or flesh out the plans, the people on the council are going to have minimal influence on what happens.

The best way to vote imo is to vote on people who are very active, and who probably will be for a long time.

From my experience, there are one or two rare exceptions to that, but those are not hardcoded things anyways, so...

Thank. You. Too many people act like they're voting for Trump Dump or Sanders here. Basically were just voting for people to talk to schine for us. If they had any major influence on the game's progression, they would be cashing paychecks for it, and it wouldn't be an elected position.

I disagree with the idea of specific seats. If the players want to focus on PvP over RP and vote a ton of PvPers in, that's how it should go.
    Every player should be represented.

If I want 1 PvP and 1 RP player in council, I can't vote for that. I can only vote and hope that not 2 of one type get seats only.

Then every player should post on the forums so that those opinions get into the list of suggestions sent to schine. The council doesn't represent, they're essentially just interns at schine doing the shit no one cares about xD

Yeah? And what if 5/7 voters would prefer PvP-centric councilors? Instead of that, they'll get stuck with a bunch of useless councilors that don't represent them.

The point of a COUNCIL is that everyone on it is equal and has the same job. You're trying to make the council something it isn't. It's for relaying ideas, with anything else being mainly surveys (PvPer Comr4de did PvP surveys, RP councilors did... absolutely nothing for RPers outside their standard duties, etc)

    OK, they are equal.
I want the council to have at least 1 who is experienced in the topic for every possible discussed topic. At least as much as it is possible.

What the hell is an "experienced roleplayer"? What does that actually mean? None of the "RP" councilors were even "RP"ers! They were just builders who focused on aesthetics rather than systems.

as with many ballots, I'd probably have voted "no confidence" if the option was there.

I'll be happy with council members that are wise enough to understand that they don't understand the whole game. Perhaps a little more humility and a bit less vitriol for those who see things differently.

Here we go, my 'I didn't vote' sticker.
Featuring my new logo, which would be my avatar if avatar uploading wasn't mysteriously broken.
Edit: Retrospectively... The maintenance was probably why I couldn't change my avatar.

Some sort of improved screening would be the best solution, imo. Many US states require a certain number of signatures to get onto a ballot for an election. Perhaps something similar here would be a good idea to cut down on "junk" candidates.
Even my high-school had this for school captain, you had to get nominated by at least 4 people to even run.
