Greetings everyone!
I've been off for a few days finding out how to put more oomph into Starmade. Turns out there's a little openGL compatiable shader injection thing called 'reshade'.
Anyway, this is to teach you how to install and use it.
WARNING: Use at your own risk!
1. Head over to reshade.me and download version 1.1.0
2. One you have the archive, you'll want to navigate to the Java directory that Starmade uses, find the folder containing javaw.exe (for me, it's C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_45\bin)
3. Copy all the files from the Reshade archive into the same folder as javaw.exe
4. Create a copy of reshade64.dll (if using 64 bit) or reshade32.dll (if using 32 bit)
5. Rename the copied file to OpenGL32.dll (whether it's 64 bit, or 32, it gets changed to opengl32.dll)
6. Move the folder within the ZIP attached to this post to the \ReShade\PersonalFiles\Presets directory. Start Starmade and open Mediator.exe. Select "StarShade 0.1" from the dropdown on the Setup page.
Enjoy!
