Been working from home lately, which is to say I've been getting a lot done on Voyager :D
Some finished sections on Deck 4:
-Aft torpedo bay
-escape pods (need more pictures to really get it)
-cargo bay (which will be perfect for the game updates over the next few months)
-cargo transporter
-power room
Torpedo Bay, this is the cannon housing. It is full of explosive effects modules. Note the fire wall separating the two bays. Rails are for aesthetics.
These are all connected, and run under deck to the output at the back. Meant to represent racks of torpedoes.
This is the business end of the torpedo bays. The blast doors roll back when firing, again, just aesthetics.
This station rolls back the doors and has the blast effect computer.
Just outside the torpedo bay on both sides there are 2 escape pods. Delivery out of the ship requires the pilot to execute a roll, which is to say it is not as graceful as I envisioned but still does the trick. All pods are delivered from deck level to just above the hull via a rail system. Blast doors cover from the exterior.
The cargo bay. This is divided into three sections, this being the middle one. Each section has racking, and is separated by fire walls. The rails in the ceiling are connected to a moving bed for moving heavy cargo from each bay to the transporter.
This shows the three bays, and the large transporter. This station controls the movement of the moving bed. The one separate from the others is an "emergency stop" button.
The moving bed in motion. The forcefields have to be down of course for it to move freely.
The moving bed right up against the cargo transporter.
Finally, these are the two power rooms. The perspective is from within the dividing fire wall. Each power pack follows the best configuration for a three by three block and all empty spaces are filled with shield rechargers. Power optimization is still something I only loosely understand, but I can happily report that, whereas before this installation the torpedo would eventually drain available power if fired continuously, that is no longer an issue.
