    I feel lied to :'(
It'll either be today or tomorrow, there's some other stuff I need to wait on before putting the blog out. But don't panic, it's mostly all drafted up, as I said just waiting on a couple small things first.

It's been tomorrow for at least 24 hours now... I think. Time zones are weird.

Give it another 24 to make sure it's tomorrow everywhere.

Hey Bench, are we there yet?

Since my ships all need refits because of HP system and weapon changes (yes, I've been THAT lazy) I'm dieing to see what's in the pipe for cargo and crew quarters.

    Now guys, relax.

This kind of thing is why devs don't like to say "We'll have more for you on X date" and instead just say "Soon", because they know people get their undies in a knot if they don't hit that date exactly, and usually by like 6 am on that date.

If he hasn't posted, then its because something came up that makes it unfit to post, or that he's been too busy doing actual work on the game to spend an hour summing it up in layman's terms for everybody.

It will happen when it happens.

    nicely put :)

    anyways about the cargo system:
this is what I think, it will have a controller interface block and it will have storage modules the ratio will be very low (storage per module) the controller interface block will have an overview of all the storage (like a storage block nowadays) ultimately transport ships will be a new thing, carrying many resources and shields, most likely escorted by other ships.
I actually am 99% sure something like this will be the case, so get prepped to rebuild your miners, and start building your transporter! and to add, I actually would like it this way, because it gives a whole new ship role, and something to take account with.

I am pretty much chomping at the bit to go ahead and start building a (new) freighter, but I have to know what cargo accommodations will look like first... Can't help but be impatient. :|

aww... that's nice. I't so kind of you to see the best in people and assume there is good reason for the way things are.
Me on the other hand, I'm just going to stick to the age old practice of assuming the worst.

Somebody go nudge Bench, he's obviously fallen asleep.

As for the coming news. I'm certainly looking forward to hearing how cargo is going to work. Because I'll be able to then modify my Firefly Class Transport Ship, to where it actually becomes a transport ship. But my Starfleet Defiant Class battle cruiser has enough "RP" space for 50 crew, and I'd like to see how it's going to play out.

But no pressure Bench, Take your time. LOL

If I understand properly, it's a bit of confirmation/info from Schema that's needed, not Bench; his devblog is mostly already written.

I'm sure your right, but I wouldn't dare criticize the great cat god (bowing, "I am not worthy")
I'd much rather nudge Bench, he likes it. :)

Oh relax. Part of the fun of coming to the Starmade forums is friendly ribbing of Bench. I don't think any of us were seriously giving him a hardtime, it was over the weekend after all so I didn't really expect to see the devblog.

You have problems with pretty much everything don't you?

    What's wrong with it?
Less now that Bench clarified that one of the other guys saying they were looking at cargo blocks being a few thousand in size was wrong. It was going to require planet sized storage stations at that rate!
