I went and built the first turret works perfectly. So then made copies of it attached a small amount of power and thrust to them to get them in place. I then docked them set the bobbi AI to turret and activated. The first thing I noticed is none of the 3 duplicates tilted at all.

I would have thought this is where things like the ship yard would shine here we can build something and then move it into location and put it to use.

Thought I would ask if anyone else is having similar issues before chalking it up to a bug.

I Left room under each gun they should be able to tilt to near a 45 angle. Granted probably will be hard to see anything in the image that may help but here it is if you can spot anything.
It's obviously not done so not putting it up yet.

Turns out it was a stray block from base and where I used a camera to fly them into position.

Just encase. There should be two sections to the turret. The first rotating section connected to the station/stop via turret axis rotator usually for example the horizontal rotator. Then there should be the barrel part with the bobby AI, it should be connected to the first rotation section via another turret axis rotator set vertically. Also have to make sure for the barrel part that the forward direction is the direction you intend on firing guns.

If all of that is the case you might want to attach a sment file so some people can check it out. Usually once all the above is covered, if its a complicated turret there might be a single block, blocking movement.

Those barrels look hefty. Do you have mass enhancers in your turret base?

Found the problem thanks for the replies. It was a block left over from moving them into location.

I am running into another issue though.

The same turrets fire fine. However they keep displaying out of power. But their power never drops below 99.6% The stations power hasn't dropped below 100%. the gun consumes 671K power /sec. My capacity is 22Million and generation is 4.8 million/sec. I tried even just putting a huge supply directly on it greater than it consumes and it still says the same thing. Guessing that really is a bug.

If the onboard power runs out the generators on that part go into power drain. Even though they just pick up the extra energy from the station. When in the turret the power storage you see includes the power storage from all the entities up the chain. The items up the chain will only go into power drain for their respective power generators if they to are drained of power. If you have no generators on the turret don't worry about it as all the power will come from the station. If you have power generators on the turret they will stop working periodically as you don't have enough power on the actual turret. I had to redesign my self powered turrets cause while in total all the power was being generated it was in separate parts. 1.8mil e regen 900k on each part but all the weapons were in the barrel section so it would power drain and the other part would take up the slack. But since the first part power drained and stopped working for a few seconds the same would happen to the second part then it would drain out of the main ship.

Thanks for the reply. I think I have it figured out. It means I am going to need to rebuild the turrets though. It would be seriously nice if the guns actually told you their consumption rate accurately.

The guns says 69680 per a group. Which is a wrong. in total the gun has (804) 268 cannons in primary, 268 cannons in secondary and 268 in overdrive. That means a group has 1/4th that. 67 cannons + 67 cannons + 67 overdrive. When I fire it the display reads -627,120e
So when I put a million E gen directly on the canon for testing it should have still had 370K left over. Given there is no gen at all on the turret it should be pulling from the station. The station has 22 million cap and 4.7 gen.

My systems aren't draining at all power isn't even blinking from this thing firing. Doesn't cause the cap to go down at all.

The only thing I can think of is that when I moved the systems into place I had to hook a generator to them temporarily to power thrusters and maybe the system has had some bit or flag set it never unset when they where removed. That would suck because then you would have to build each and every turret in place to not have an issue.
[DOUBLEPOST=1444320397,1444317657][/DOUBLEPOST]Yep for whatever reason still acts as if a power supply is attached when one isn't. As you can see in the image it shows 6000/50,000 for power.
Tried to trick it into going to zero by hooking a power supply up and a cap and then removing them cap. last. Well now there is no gen on it at all but it is gaining 1 e / second and has done so over a minute. Suspect it will do that till it reaches 50K.
Yep that was my mistake I hooked a gen to it moving it there. Fine guess from now on I know to tow them into place with another craft.
So I decided to see if the turret was properly drawing from the station. If it was it should refill any capacitors stored on it. It doesn't.
