    Hi,

    I've seen his proposed before in different ways.
    I would love to have this feature added into creative mode, which by the way is so freaken awesome!

    ShipYard additional features: shipwide block replacement

    Mass Delete Block Filter and Mass Swap

    Building Tool: Block Swap Command

    Where I could see how the tool would operate best for myself would be similar to how special paste or colour replace options are applied in various image editing and painting software.
    In something simple like window paint, you have two colours the forground & background that you can interchange by clicking the left/right mouse buttons.
    Similarily, you also have a replace function by using the eraser tool where you can replace a colour with an alternate.

    The way I could see this working on creative mode would be to have two pallette blocks, one primary/foreground and the other secondary/badground. Colour would be irralavant, because it's Block_ID's that we are wanting to swap or manipulate.
    A toggle, drop-down or perhaps a selection of radio buttons could change the settings between any of the following;
    - Block Replace (Replaces Primary Block with Secondary. Individually or using existing block area tool. )
    - Block on Mass (Effects all blocks within the blueprint, e.g. Right click delete would delete every block type of the one being target)
    - Orientation (Wherever the block is, it is reset to the orientation in the advanced edit window)

    I could see this option being in the advanced build window maybe.

    Wait, how is this different from the current remove/replace function?

    I guess that could be useful to a very limited extent. I don't know, my designs incorporate a lot of colors and types of armor into the aesthetics, so if I tried to replace all I'd end up with deformed interiors and super bland exteriors. Like if I wanted to paint a grey ship black, then the interior would also become black.

    This is true!
    I'm mainly suggesting for situations like when you don't have this situation or you have a shell hull that you wanted to change the colour of a block or series of blocks. When the total number of blocks would be in the bazillions like with giant capital ships or crazy huge stations.

    It would be nice to have these options.
