It's your graphics memory to use. Letting color be adjusted would mean 4x the memory in graphics if I remember the Q&A correctly. Now, as a mod that might be possible, just that your ships would look awful when you view them without the mod. They could add a color slider like the one in Space Engineers (I said a bad word ). That way, every color is available. ^^
Yeah, I'm not one for technobabble. Was a good idea though! It's your graphics memory to use. Letting color be adjusted would mean 4x the memory in graphics if I remember the Q&A correctly. Please watch the Q/A...Maybe it could work with more performance using indexed colors per ship.
You could use a slider to adjust 16 colors for your ship or have 12 default colors + 4 adjustable colors.
But I don't know how much work it is to implement this.
Oh, awesome. Pictures, please?Orange confirmed, it's already in the dev build.
Green on green? How does that work?Orange hull is confirmed.
Yellow Hazard stripes on black hull are currently in the dev build.
Green hazard stripes on green hull are currently in the dev build.
The game will not use RGB sliders because of massive performance implications (see Q&A no.1).
